BIOGRAPHY

Rick Coro is Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Landstar. He is responsible for all of Landstar’s technology solutions, integrations and deployments that drive innovation throughout the company’s network of independent agents, business capacity owners (BCOs) and employees.

In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of Landstar’s IT department, including oversight of all technology applications, business intelligence and analytics, systems and network infrastructure and management, IT architecture, and information security.

Mr. Coro has 30 years of experience in technology management and joined Landstar in 2017. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Southeastern Grocers, parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Mas, Harveys and Winn-Dixie supermarkets. Prior to that, he was Chief Information Officer for Advance Auto Parts, and served as Vice President, North America Information Technology for Office Depot, as Vice President of Application Development at Eckerd Corp, and as Manager of Systems Architecture for JCPenney Co. Prior to JCPenney, Mr. Coro was a Senior Aerospace Engineer with General Dynamics.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Coro was born in Cuba and immigrated to the USA with his family as a child. He lives in Jacksonville with his wife, Sandra, and has two grown sons.
