Rick Coro

Rick Coro serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Landstar. He is responsible for the company’s technology strategy and execution, including solutions, integrations, and deployments that support innovation across Landstar’s network of independent agents, business capacity owners, and employees. His responsibilities include oversight of all technology applications, AI-enabled solutions, business intelligence and analytics, systems and network infrastructure, IT architecture, and information security.
Coro has more than 30 years of experience in technology management and joined Landstar in 2017. Prior to joining the company, he served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys, and Winn-Dixie supermarkets. He previously served as Chief Information Officer at Advance Auto Parts and held leadership roles at Office Depot, Eckerd Corporation, and JCPenney. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Aerospace Engineer with General Dynamics.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Born in Cuba, he immigrated to the United States with his family as a child. Coro and his wife,
Sandra, live in Jacksonville, Florida, and have two adult children.
