BIOGRAPHY

Vallie Dugas serves as Landstar’s Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, overseeing the company’s legal affairs, corporate governance and Board administration functions. As a member of Landstar’s Executive Leadership Team, she works closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to support the company’s strategic priorities, manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance and uphold strong corporate governance practices.

Dugas joined Landstar in 2025 as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2026. With more than 20 years of legal experience, she has held leadership roles spanning both private practice and the transportation industry. Prior to joining the company, she served as Vice President and General Counsel of Melton Truck Lines, Inc. Before her tenure at Melton, she was a partner with a New Orleans-based law firm, where she represented transportation and logistics companies in a wide range of matters, including cargo transportation, cross-border operations, emergency response, catastrophic loss claims and other complex transportation-related legal issues.

Dugas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Dugas and her husband, Keith, reside in Ponte Vedra, Florida, and have two children.
