BIOGRAPHY

Matt Miller serves as Vice President and Chief Safety & Operations Officer of Landstar. He has enterprise responsibility for all operational matters related to the company’s capacity network of truck owner-operators and third-party truck brokerage carriers. His responsibilities also include safety, compliance, risk management, the service center of excellence (customer service operations), equipment operations, electronic data interchange-solutions, and account management.

During his tenure at Landstar, Miller has held positions of increasing responsibility across safety, operations, finance, and risk management. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Safety, Compliance, Trailer Management, and Insurance Administration. He has implemented numerous operational enhancements that have improved efficiency and performance.

He is actively engaged in industry leadership and currently serves as an At-Large Officer for the Truckload Carriers Association.

Miller holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Miller and his wife, Michelle, live in Jacksonville, Florida, and have two adult children.
